My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that every child is a unique and capable learner, naturally driven by curiosity and a desire to explore the world. Children develop at their own pace and learn best when they feel safe and valued. Learning should be a joyful and meaningful process, where children are active participants in constructing their own knowledge through experiences and social interactions.

I believe my role is to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where children feel valued, respected and inspired to explore. I will foster a space where children develop independence and gain confidence in their abilities by providing open-ended activities and opportunities for exploration. I will observe children to understand their strength and use emergent curriculum to build meaningful learning experiences. Additionally, I will document children's learning to reflect on their progress and ensure that activities remain meaningful and developmentally appropriate.

One of my greatest strengths is that I believe that every child has unique ways of learning. I strive to create a supportive environment where they feel heard and valued. Through active listening and observation, I can respond to their needs with patience and empathy, fostering trust and a strong sense of belonging. An area of growth for me is curriculum planning so I can provide more flexible learning experience. I will actively seek mentorship from experienced educators, participate in professional development workshops and consistently reflect on my teaching practices.

My motivation for wanting to work with children stems from my passion for guiding and supporting children as they discover their strengths and navigate the world. I find immense fulfillment in witnessing their growth and achievements. Knowing that my guidance can have a lasting impact on their development inspires me to be a responsive, and dedicated educator.
